"Is this your first time here?" a voice asks behind you.
You jump, and quickly turn to face a gaunt figure standing behind you. You could swear that you hadn't heard him approach. He smiles, revealing a set of gleaming, white fangs. The sight is unsettling, yet you sense no threat from the man.
"Where am I?" you ask.
"Welcome to The Realms, traveler. It's not the safest of places for your kind, but if you keep your wits about you, you should be all right. Mostly."
Your eyes return to the amazing sight of towers lit by neon and thousands of flickering lamp lights. It's so unlike anything you've ever seen before! You know you shouldn't, but can't help yourself. You venture a step further into this strange, perilous, wonderful world, feeling an odd familiarity pulling you deeper.
"Tell me, traveler," the gatekeeper urges behind you. "Who are you, and what brings you to this place? I only ask, because if you take another step, this may be the last time we meet..."
